Atl Black Owned Restaurants Tour: Greens & Gravy Restaurant

Shawnee Renee

We are on a mission to support more Black Owned businesses in the ATL, so we made our second stop over at Greens & Gravy Restaurant. The food was AMAZING!! Between all of us in attendance, we were able to sample several things on the menu. The starters were delicious!!! We don't know if we liked the Crab & Shrimp Deviled Eggs or the Skillet Butter Pecan Cornbread the best. Both dishes are so different, but they were both equally tasty!

At Greens and Gravy everything is homemade from scratch. The main courses were all delicious and so were the Fixins. The Lemon Pepper Honey Fried Chicken was the ABSOLUTE best! It was fried to perfection and each piece of the chicken was full of flavor. The smothered Pork Chops and Catfish Fingers were delectable as well. Many of the fixins are served in a small cast iron skillet and come to the table nice and hot. The portions are large enough to share and have some left over for later. We tried the Braised Greens, Whipped Sweet Potatoes, Skillet Fried White Corn, Lemon Pepper Asparagus, and the Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon. The must have fixin is the Mac and Cheese!!! Don't forget to wash it all down with your choice of "Grape" or "Red" Kool-Aid, Lemonade or Sweet Tea :-).

Fried Green Tomato

The location is very intimate and there is limited seating. There is no waiting area inside of the restaurant and we wouldn't recommend this place for large parties without calling ahead. Parking is on the street only and it can be difficult to find a spot close by, so be prepared to walk a bit.

In conclusion, Clark Sports and Social enjoyed our stop at Greens and Gravy. Be sure to check them out and let us know what you think.
